Nephil
Appearance
(Redirected from Rephaim)
A nephil (plural nephilim; Ugaritic: sg. napīlu, pl. napīlūma) is a human descended from one or more Watchers, resulting from the Watchers' sexual unions with human women during the Great Descent.
Rephaim
A repha (plural rephaim; Ugaritic: sg. rapi'u, pl. rapi'ūma) is the disembodied spirit of a nephil who has died and passed on into the spiritual realm. Rephaim may be invoked and contacted like any other willing spirit. Some rephaim, such as those who belonged to the earliest generations of nephilim, can be so powerful that some people treat them as deities. One example of this is Šamadānu, a son of Asbe'el who is commonly known by the inaccurate name Asmodeus.
