The erelim (singular: erel) or er'elim (singular: er'el) are an order of angels in the Delegate group, whose primary duties involve interacting with humans. They are warrior angels, considered to make up Yahweh's army.

Other names

In medieval Christian angelology, these angels are known as the Powers, although some sources incorrectly equate them with the Thrones (who are actually the ophanim) instead. The Muslim name for them is jundullah, meaning "the army of Allah," since Muslims refer to Yahweh as Allah.

Examples

The well-known archangels Michael and Uriel are erelim.
