The erelim (singular: erel) or er'elim (singular: er'el) are an order of angels in the Delegate group. They are warrior angels, considered to make up Yahweh's army.
Other names
In medieval Christian angelology, these angels are known as the Powers, although some sources incorrectly equate them with the Thrones (who are actually the ophanim) instead. Muslim texts call the erelim jundullah, meaning "the army of Allah," where Allah is a synonym of Yahweh.
