Yahweh is a deity worshipped by Yahwists, including Christians, Muslims, and Jews. He claims to be the omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent supreme being of the universe. Within Satano-Grigorism, he is considered to be a tyrant and a liar.

Due to his desire to be the only god worshipped by all mankind, Yahweh dislikes other gods. He especially despises Satanael, the Watchers, and certain Canaanite pagan gods.

Names

The name preferred by Satano-Grigorists, Yahweh, is the earliest known name for this deity. However, other names, titles, and epithets for him have come about for various reasons.

In Judaism, the name of Yahweh is considered so sacred that it is absolutely forbidden to write it, and, to a slightly lesser extent, to speak it. This taboo is taken extremely seriously. Because of this, Jews replace his name with titles such as Adonai or Adonay ("my lord") and HaShem ("the name"). In writing, some English-speaking Jews instead opt for "G-d," censoring the word "God" and using it as a name.

• Christians most commonly refer to him simply as "God." This can be viewed as a direct translation of the Northwest Semitic El, which is used in Semitic-language texts both as a common noun
• Satano-Grigorists sometimes refer to him as the Great Enslaver or simply the Enslaver. This negative epithet is especially common in ritualistic contexts, such as banishment rites.

Claims

Yahweh makes a set of claims about himself and the universe that remain relatively consistent across all of his major religions and scriptures. While he does contradict himself sometimes, especially on details, his core claims are fairly stable.

Yahweh self-identifies as supreme, omniscient, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent. He claims to have created everything that exists, beginning with the heavens (the spiritual realm, often symbolically identified with the sky) and the earth (the physical realm, often symbolically identified with the ground).

In Satano-Grigorism

The Grigorist Temple of Satanael teaches that the vast majority of Yahweh's claims about himself are most likely false. He is viewed by Satano-Grigorists as a tyrannical god who lies about his abilities and importance, manipulates humans by various methods, and denigrates other gods to make himself seem more significant.

Role in the Grigoric Narrative

The Watchers once served Yahweh. Their rebellion against him immediately preceded the Great Descent and initiated the events of the Grigoric Narrative.
