A religion, also called a faith, is a system of belief and practice relating to gods, spirits, and the spiritual realm. Religious beliefs seek to explain the nature of the spiritual realm, characterize its inhabitants, and define the relationship between humans and the divine; a complete religion also includes a value system and philosophical views. Religious practices are actions believed to honor a god or spirit or bring the human practitioner into contact with the divine.
