The Watchers are an order of two hundred spiritual beings, formerly angels, who rebelled against Yahweh, descended to earth, taught forbidden knowledge, and engaged in sexual intercourse with humans. The hybrid descendants of the Watchers and human women are known as nephilim. Satano-Grigorists worship the Watchers alongside Satanael.

Known Watchers

The identities of all 200 Watchers are not currently known. The names of around 22 Watchers are known from publicly available texts, such as the Book of Enoch and other ancient apocrypha, as well as Satano-Grigorist scriptures like BWAE. A list of the 20 Dekadarchs' names and associations is also provided in the Satano-Grigorist Pocket Guide.

The Grigorist Temple of Satanael holds private resources for members only, which describe about 80 more Watchers who are not otherwise known. Once the Temple discovers and confirms names, associations, symbols, preferred offerings, and other information for all 200 Watchers, a resource detailing them will be publicly released.

Great Descent

Main article: Great Descent

The Great Descent is the Satano-Grigorist name for the incarnation and descent of the Watchers to earth, which is estimated to have begun around 3400-3300 BCE. It may also be applied to the time period during which the Watchers were incarnate in the physical realm; for example, one might refer to events that happened "during the Great Descent."
