Usage

Use {{Infobox being}} to display summary information about any being -- human or spirit.

Only |name is required. All other parameters are optional. Rows for omitted or empty parameters are not displayed.

Parameters

|name
The being’s primary name. This parameter is required.
|image
The filename of an illustration or other relevant image. Enter only the filename, without File: or any other image code (the template fills in the image coding automatically).
|caption
The caption for the image, a few brief words. This should be left blank unless an image is used.
|other_names
Legitimate alternative names, spellings, transliterations, translated forms, or names used in other traditions.
|name_corruptions
Corrupted, distorted, mistransmitted, folk-etymologized, or otherwise secondary forms of the being’s name.
|gender
The gender attributed to the being in the relevant sources or traditions.
|type
The broad kind of being, such as angel, deity, primordial being, monster, or divine personification.
|classification
A more specific class, rank, order, species, or taxonomic group.
|affiliation
A faction, court, host, divine household, council, or other collective to which the being belongs.
|associations
Concepts, forces, activities, celestial bodies, animals, objects, professions, or domains conventionally associated with the being.
|roles
Functions, duties, offices, narrative roles, or characteristic activities attributed to the being.
|watcher_teachings
Knowledge, arts, sciences, technologies, or practices taught by a Watcher. Although the parameter is named |watcher_teachings, its visible label is Teachings.
|titles
Formal titles, honorifics, offices, throne names, or recurring descriptive epithets.
|traits
Characteristic qualities, behaviors, temperaments, appearances, or physical features.
|symbols
Objects, creatures, colors, signs, weapons, plants, or iconographic motifs used to represent the being.
|preferred_offerings
Offerings considered particularly appropriate for or preferred by the being.
|associated_places
Geographical, sacred, mythological, or cosmological locations strongly connected with the being.
|textual_mentions
Major scriptures, myths, hymns, inscriptions, ritual works, grimoires, or other texts in which the being is mentioned.
|traditions
Religious, mythological, literary, magical, folkloric, or doctrinal traditions in which the being appears.
|ancestors
Parents, forebears, progenitors, creators, remote ancestral beings, or originating lineages.
|descendants
Children, offspring, created lineages, dynastic descendants, or classes of beings descended from the subject.
|associated_beings
Other beings connected through alliance, rivalry, kinship, companionship, service, rulership, instruction, opposition, or shared group membership.
|equivalents
Beings explicitly identified as the same entity, direct cultural counterparts, or recognized equivalents in another tradition.

Notes

Separate multiple short values with semicolons, bullet lists, or {{Plainlist}}, depending on the amount of information.

Use |equivalents only for actual identifications or recognized counterparts. Loose comparisons should ordinarily be discussed in article prose.

The |watcher_teachings parameter is intended primarily for Watchers and should be omitted for beings to whom it does not apply.
