Theism

Not to be confused with Atheism.

Theism is the belief that one or more gods exist. A theist believes in the existence of non-human spiritual beings. Some forms of theism may have a conception of the divine that is very different from the hard polytheist view adhered to by Satano-Grigorists; theistic definitions of a divine being may range from "a finite, discrete, imperfect individual spiritual being with an incorporeal form" to "a benevolent guiding force that contains the Universe itself." The opposite of theism is atheism, the belief that gods do not exist.
