Satano-Grigorism

Satano-Grigorism is an organized polytheistic Satanic religion that centers on the worship of Satanael and the Watchers, who are also called the Grigori. It is one of many Satanic religions and is included under the umbrella term "theistic Satanism."

Satanael is the same being who may be referred to as "Satan" or "Lucifer" by other Satanists; however, we do not use those names, and our beliefs on His nature may differ. The Watchers are an order of 200 fallen angels who rebelled against Yahweh, engaged in sexual unions with humans, and taught forbidden knowledge to mankind.

Our faith is fully theistic; we do not, and will never, endorse any atheistic or purely symbolic interpretations of it. We are hard polytheists — we believe that many gods and spirits exist, and that each of these is an individual, personal, finite, and imperfect being with their own thoughts, values, and goals.

Our values are generally oriented toward the elevation of the Self, which is a core concept in Satano-Grigorist ethics. In alignment with the virtues of Satanael Himself, we highly value self-love, self-awareness, self-determination, confidence, pride, knowledge, and pleasure; we look down upon excessive altruism, undue self-sacrifice, self-hatred, willful ignorance, and other forms of self-destructive behavior.

The organization

Our Temple

The Grigorist Temple of Satanael (GToS) is the central organization of the Satano-Grigorist faith. The Temple initiates new Satano-Grigorists, mentors them in theology, terminology, and other studies, and teaches prayer and ritual practice. Temple leaders also organize weekly religious assemblies, produce public and private resources, manage Satano-Grigorist outreach, and edit Grigoripedia.

The Temple was founded in 2022 by three people who had collaborated to turn a form of independent theistic Satanism into a coherent, codified, and stable religion, which came to be known as Satano-Grigorism. Despite the fairly recent codification of its modern form, the ideas and events our faith is founded upon are far older. The story of the Watchers was known and told long before baby Jesus took his first breath, and history at the time and place of Their descent is replete with traces of Their influence.

We are not affiliated with atheistic organizations such as the Church of Satan or The Satanic Temple, nor are we affiliated with any other theistic Satanic organizations. We do not endorse the beliefs or actions of organizations such as the Order of the Nine Angles, and we do not associate with them.
