The Grigorist Temple of Satanael (referred to as "GToS," "the Temple," "we," "our," or "us" in this Statement) is a free-standing, independent religious organization. The following Statement clarifies the limits of our relationships to other entities (here defined as individuals, organizations, orders, churches, temples, groups, or communities outside of GToS) and explains formal representation of GToS when interacting with other entities.

Organizational Independence
GToS is not a branch, splinter, chapter, successor, or representative body of any other religious, spiritual, or other organization of any kind (Satanic or otherwise) unless we clearly and explicitly state otherwise through one of our official channels.
Likewise, no outside organization, community, website, church, temple, congregation, or other project should be assumed to be a branch, chapter, subsidiary, or official affiliate of GToS unless we clearly and explicitly state said relationship via an official channel. The existence of an organizational relationship should not be assumed even if an external project, community, or congregation shares similarities with GToS, including but not limited to beliefs, terminology, symbols, deities, practices, members, or historical interests.
Formal Affiliations
A formal affiliation between GToS and another group or individual exists only when such a relationship has been explicitly established and acknowledged by GToS through an official organizational decision, written agreement, public announcement, or other authorized communication through our official channels.
An institutional affiliation is not automatically created by similarity of beliefs, overlap of deities, mutual respect, informal cooperation, personal friendship, shared membership, or repeated interaction between GToS and another group.
Collaboration, Interviews & Public Interaction
GToS may communicate, collaborate, attend events, participate in interviews or discussions, share platforms, or work on projects with external people or organizations. Such interactions do not, by themselves, establish an official affiliation, partnership, endorsement, or other formal organizational relationship.
The appearance of a GToS representative in another party's publications, interviews, events, online communities, or other platforms should not be interpreted as organizational affiliation unless that status is expressly stated.
Links, Citations & Third-Party Material
GToS-run websites and publications may link to, cite, quote, discuss, recommend, criticize, or otherwise reference third-party materials. A link, citation, quotation, listing, or reference does not indicate endorsement of the source, its authors, its organization, or any views expressed there.
Likewise, a third party’s link to, citation of, discussion of, or use of material from GToS does not establish an affiliation with GToS.
Members, Leaders & Individual Representation
Membership in GToS does not imply representation of GToS as an organization. Statements, actions, ideas, or personal projects of an individual member should not be assumed to be endorsed by or representative of our organization. Individual members of GToS may hold personal opinions, participate in other communities, or pursue personal causes independently of GToS.
Religious leaders, community staff, volunteers, contributors, and other representatives do not always speak in an official capacity to indicate the organization's views; they may also speak in a personal capacity. A statement should be treated as an official GToS position only when it is issued through an official GToS channel, made within an authorized organizational role, or otherwise clearly identified as representing GToS.
Independent Grigorolatry & Satano-Grigorist Identity
We recognize that grigorolatry (here defined as worship of or religious devotion to the Watchers) may be practiced independently of our organization (GToS) and our religious tradition (Satano-Grigorism). External individuals and groups may independently worship the Watchers, revere Satanael, and/or hold religious beliefs and practices similar to those of GToS. Such similarities do not, however, establish that such individuals or groups are Satano-Grigorist.
Satano-Grigorism is the distinct and organized religious tradition established, defined, and codified by the Grigorist Temple of Satanael. We do not recognize the existence of independent forms, branches, or denominations of Satano-Grigorism outside of the Grigorist Temple of Satanael.
Individuals who practice grigorolatry independently may misleadingly identify themselves with GToS-related terms. GToS does not recognize these self-identifications, such as "independent Satano-Grigorist," as valid. Self-identification as Satano-Grigorist does not establish that the individual is actually a member of the Satano-Grigorist faith as defined by its authoritative body (GToS). Such individuals should not be construed as recognized Satano-Grigorists, members or representatives of GToS, or followers of some separate form of Satano-Grigorism that exists independently of the Temple.
This distinction does not challenge the existence or validity of independent grigorolatry. GToS does not claim exclusive authority over the worship of the Watchers and/or Satanael as deities. This section of the statement merely declares that grigorolatry and Satano-Grigorism are not interchangeable terms, and that religious similarity (coincidental or otherwise) and/or personal self-identification as Satano-Grigorist do not establish membership in or recognition by GToS.
Use of GToS Names, Logos & Identity
A third party's use, reproduction, display, or mention of the Grigorist Temple of Satanael's name, the abbreviation “GToS,” our Temple's logos and emblems, or other identifying material does not by itself indicate that the third party is affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized to represent GToS.
Official GToS websites, publications, accounts, and recognized relationships should be identified and confirmed through GToS-run channels whenever verification is important.
No Automatic Endorsement
Association, proximity, dialogue, cooperation, citation, shared membership, theological overlap, or social interaction should not be treated as automatic endorsement. GToS may agree with a person or organization on one subject while disagreeing on others, and may maintain cordial or productive relationships without adopting another party’s beliefs, policies, conduct, or public statements.
A third-party individual can be part of GToS-run online communities, such as our public outreach server on Discord, without being a member of GToS itself. An individual's presence in a GToS-run online community carries no implication of membership or endorsement by GToS in any capacity.
Changes to This Statement
GToS may revise this Statement as organizational relationships, public communications, or other relevant factors change. The “Last updated” date near the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
